Aayat's POV
"You would not like what would happen next to you if you don't do as I say"
I took my heels off and walked closer to the man who was shaking like a leaf scared for his life.
I crouched down to his level and grabbed his chin forcing him to look up at me
"Look at you all trembling in fear, you're nothing but a coward"
I said with a cold glare in my eyes
The man tried to look away but I tightened my grip on his chin forcing him to look at me
"You know what I find amusing, the fact that you used to think you were in control"
I said with a smirk playing on my lips
"You really thought you could betray me and take over my entire company for yourself huh?"
I said with a dark glare in my eyes "You thought you were smarter than me, but look where you are now"
I let go of his chin and stood up towering over him
"You should have known better than to cross me, I could destroy you with a snap of my fingers"
I said in a menacing tone
I pressed my foot harder into his chest, making sure he couldn't move
"You're not going anywhere until I say so"
I said with a mocking tone in my voice
I pointed a gun at his head
"Any last words?"
The man's eyes widened in terror
"Please...I-I'll do anything, just don't kill me!" He pleaded
I laughed coldly at his desperate attempt to save himself
"It's a little too late for that now isn't it"
I smirked
"You should have thought about that before betraying me"
The man tried to speak but I didn't let him
"Shhhhh don't waste your breathe"
With that a loud gunshot was heard and the bullet was right through his head and everything felt so silent after this.
A moment of silence passed before I spoke
"Now I hope you've learned your lesson"
"And now, the name Vikrant Saxena is gone FOREVER!"
I felt a sense of satisfaction wash over
"And no one will ever hear of him again"
I put away the gun and let out a deep breath
"That was... satisfying"
I walked away from the body and left the room without looking back
I walked through the door and was greeted by the silence of my empty house.
I let out a sigh and walked to the living room, kicking off my heels and flopping onto the couch.
I stretched out my legs and closed my eyes
"Alone at last"
I sat in silence for a few moments before my eyes landed on my phone which was lying on side table.
I reached over and picked up my phone, scrolling through my messages.
My eyes landed on one unopened message at the bottom of the screen. I tapped on the message, curious as to what it could be.
I smiled when I saw the picture, it was a picture of my bsf's baby boy Nishant, he was the cutest little thing.
I couldn't help but let out a little laugh at the way he was sleeping.
I couldn't believe he was already growing up so fast.
I looked at the picture for a few more seconds before setting the phone back down on the side table.
I briskly walked into my closet and shut the door behind me. I quickly changed into a sharp suit, the fabric hugging mh curves in all the right places. I slipped on a pair of elegant heels and looked at myself in the mirror, satisfied with what I saw. I took a deep breath and walked out of the room, determined.
I strode into my office, and my secretary immediately stood to attention, ready to report. "Good morning, Ms. Aayat," she said, her voice filled with respect.
I nodded in acknowledgment. "I want an update on the land I purchased for the new branch of the company," I said, cutting right to the chase.
Shivalika seemed flustered, "I apologize, Ms. Aayat, but we haven't received any updates on the land you purchased yet."
I raised an eyebrow, "Why not? I gave clear instructions to prioritize this purchase.
Shivalika looked down, "I know, Ms. Aayat, but there have been some unexpected delays."
I crossed my arms, my patience wearing thin. "And what kind of delays are we talking about?"
"Apparently, the land you purchased is being claimed as government-belonging," she muttered.
My eyebrows furrowed in frustration. "What? That's ridiculous. I bought the land fair and square."
"I know, Ms. Aayat, but there are some... complications," she cringed, clearly uncomfortable.
I took a deep breath, trying to control my anger. "Complications? What kind of complications?"
"The people claiming ownership of the land have presented paperwork that appears to be legit... at least superficially," she explained.
I felt myself growing angrier by the second.
"Who are these people? How can they claim ownership of a land I already bought?" I demanded, my voice rising.
She looked at me, shuffling nervously. "I'm...I'm not sure, Ms. Aayat. But they seem determined to cause problems."
"This is unacceptable," I said coldly. "I won't let some random people dictate what happens to a land I legally purchased. I want this issue resolved immediately."
She nodded vigorously, "Of course, Ms. Aayat. I'll do everything in my power to get this sorted out."
"Good," I said firmly, feeling somewhat mollified. "I'll be expecting a full report on this matter by the end of the day."
She left closing the door.
I took a deep breath and sat down at my desk, mulling over the situation.
As I sat at my desk, I couldn't help but feel a sense of frustration. This was just one more issue I had to deal with.
"One more hustle, one more problem to solve..." I said to myself aloud, my voice filled with annoyance.
I leaned back in my chair, running a hand through my hair. The problems kept piling up, it seemed like there was no end in sight.
"This never-ending cycle of problems... when will it end?" I muttered to myself.
Suddenly, the door to my office swung open, interrupting my thoughts.
I looked up, irritation flashing in my eyes, ready to berate whoever had dared to barge into my office unannounced. But the words died on my lips as I saw who it was –
